What is Music Monday?

The Coalition for Music Education in Canada launched Music Monday in 2005 to celebrate the galvanizing power of music and to demonstrate how that power is rooted in school music programmes. The British Columbia Girls Choir supports our school music programmes and encourages its members to participate in their school's choir or band programmes.

Each year our choir offers a 75-minute interactive concert field trip to all the schools in the Lower Mainland. At the concert participants will:

• Meet the BC Girls Choir singers, who are in Grades two to 12
• Learn and sing some fun warm-ups
• Participate with the BC Girls Choir in some of their songs
• Listen to the BC Girls Choir singers perform their favourite songs
• Rehearse and all sing together: Our Song - the theme song for Music Monday
