Competition Highlights

Competitions give us the opportunity to: work towards a goal; push ourselves to present the best performance we can; celebrate our successes; learn from adjudicators and other choirs; and most importantly, be gracious at all times – whether we win or not.

Community Events

Two to three times per year, we hold concerts where proceeds from admission – either ticketed or by donation – go directly to various charities. Recent seasons’ community outreach events included raising funds and awareness for:

Over the years, we are happy and honoured to have supported other worthy causes, including:

  • Downtown Eastside Women’s Shelter – assisting mothers and their children to find shelter
  • Canadian Red Cross – raising funds for tsunami and wildfire relief
  • CBC Food Bank Day – raising funds to fill food banks provincially
  • Christmas Hamper Society – filling hampers for children in Maple Ridge
  • Kids Help Phone – raising funds and awareness for children in distress
  • Pink Shirt Day – supporting Canada’s anti-bullying campaign
  • Children’s Wish Foundation – helping to fulfil young people’s wishes
  • BC Lupus Society – raising funds and awareness for Lupus disease
